Work in progress: this build is a controller test. It pairs Bluetooth game controllers and shows their buttons; no games yet. No game ROMs are included, ever - you will add the MAME ROM sets of games you own (which ones).
Install
This browser can't talk to USB devices. Open this page in Chrome or Edge on a computer to install.
- Use Chrome or Edge on a computer (Windows, Mac, Linux or a Chromebook). Installing needs the browser to reach USB, which Chrome and Edge can do and most other browsers (Firefox, Safari, phones) can't.
- Plug the board into the computer with a USB cable that carries data (some cables only charge).
- Pick your board in the list below and click Install. Choose the serial port that appears. None on Windows? Install the CH340 USB driver and try again.
- Wait for "Installation complete", then press the board's reset button (or unplug it and plug it back in).
Not sure which board you have? See Which board do I have? below.

Boards are told apart by screen size, display driver and touch type. Check the text printed on the back of the board.

Controllers
PlayStation 3/4/5, Xbox Wireless, Switch Pro, 8BitDo and most Android controllers work. Put the controller in pairing mode near the board (PlayStation: hold Share or Create + PS; Xbox: hold the pair button; Switch Pro: the sync button); the board remembers it and it reconnects by itself after that.
After installing
- Blank or garbled screen on a 2.8" board? It has the other display driver: install the other 2.8" version.
- Load your ROMs: put your MAME ROM zips in a
CYD-Classic-Arcadefolder on the board's SD card (they're copied in when it starts), or send them over USB on the Load ROMs page. - Playing: Select puts in a coin, Start starts. To leave a game, hold Select and press Start twice (or press Home). The board stands up with its USB port at the top; if your board's picture is upside down, turn on Rotate Screen 180 in the menu.
- The test screen shows each controller's buttons (gold while pressed), free memory and how fast the screen updates. Hold A for a tone from the speaker, B for a higher one.
